Recording onto CD question

Im recording some iTunes stuff and other music onto a TDK CD-R disc
using my eMachine with Windows XP. Once done, I can playback the cd on
my home CD player but cannot playback in my cd in my car.

Any suggestions on how to get the disc to play in my car?

It's the stock cd player in a 2001 Dodge Dakota.

from my iTunes list. How do I find out what format?

Look at the music files in your Itunes music folders.
Okay, how did you get the music from Itunes to the cd?
Do you convert the Itunes to MP3?

Some older cd players will not play certain formats, such as MP3.

You will need to replace it with one that understands MP3 or CDA at a
minimum.

Okay, how did you get the music from Itunes to the cd?
Do you convert the Itunes to MP3?

Some older cd players will not play certain formats, such as MP3.

To get the music from my itunes playlist I just highlight the named
playlist and click the "Burn" buttom.

Some of the songs are Mpeg files and some are AAC audio files.

Actually, a majority of cd players currently sold won't play mp3's.
