Recieving Email

I'm going to college and need to get internet on my mac working. Right now,
the mac only recieves new mail about 75% of the time, but the email on my
windows always recieves new mail that the mac didnt get. The mac email is
via internet, and I have an icon on the windows desktop. How do I fix this
before I go to college?

If it's a Mac, you don't have a "windows desktop."

Or are you referring to accessing your (e-mail address removed) account in Windows
Mail/Vista?

Make sure your Windows machine is set to leave a copy of the messages on the
server under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced (and select to
delete after a few days so they don't pile up). Then see if the mac gets
all the messages.
