Receiving Windows Mail

I can send and receive on one account but can only send on my other account .
It received mail for 2 weeks and then it quit receiving. Two hours on the
phone with Time-Warner Cable didn't solve the problem. All account settings
are correct and there are no problems with their servers. I get the following
error message Account:'pop-server.austin.rr.com', Protocol:pOP3,Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19.
I have no problem sending or receiving on either account in Outlook Express.

Does this help?

Which antivirus are you using? Some of them are not compatible with
Windows Mail.

I'm using PC Tools AntiVirus Version 4.0.0.26 for both Windows Mail accounts.
Can't understand why it would work fine for one but not the other.

Antivirus programs that cause problems in Windows Mail are usually
slow enough about causing these problems that it could easily cause
problems in one account but not the other. That version was only
released in April, so we could easily not have had time to find out about
any problems it causes. However, many antivirus programs need to have
the email scanning option disabled and left disabled to work well with
Windows Mail, so you might want to check if you even have an option
to select whether is is enabled.

Also, have you ever had a Norton or McAfee antivirus program on that
computer, even a free tria version? Their uninstall programs often fail to
remove the parts of these programs that cause problems in Windows Mail.

Probably for the same reason that Russian Roulette is unpredictable...
Corruption damage from antivirus activity depends on a whole lot of factors.

Disabling the email scanner has solved the problem.
Thanks for all the help.

That is a receiving error message, not a sending error message?
