receiving multiple copies of the same email

One of our users is receiving multiple copies of the same email. It happens randomly and more so with a particular sender though no one else is having this problem and we all receive emails correctly from that particular sender. When we check in Task Manager we will find multiple entries for Outlook.exe even though it is in fact only open once. For instance if Outlook.exe is listed three times he will get three copies of an email, if there are two instances, he gets two copies of the email. If you kill the extra processes then all is normal again but later in the day, it will happen again. It is Office 2000 running on Windows XP and this same problem happened on his old computer which was running some other OS so it is definitely connected to this user and not related to his physical computer though I am sure he is running all the same programs on the new machine as the old one and he probably copied over his Outlook folders from the old machine too. I am guessing the problem followed him in those folders

If anyone has suggestions on how to fix this can you please email me directly at (e-mail address removed)

Thanks

Check your rules wizard. Often if a multiple rules apply to a single email,
duplicates will be created.
