receiving email

HELP...Recently I could not send email. I searched all the comments, tried
some of the suggestions and now I can send email. BUT, now I can't receive
email. Everytime I log into windows mail, the log on dialogue box keeps
popping up. Then I receive this error message" Account:
'pop-server.tx.rr.com (2)', Server: 'pop-server.tx.rr.com', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR invalid user name or password.', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92". I also
have a message still in my outbox that won't send and apparently started all
of this issue.

If the message in your Outbox is unmovable and undeletable, use
the Microsoft fix:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090
"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a
computer that is running Windows Vista"

With regard to your receiving problem, this may be caused by
running incompatible third party security software.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or
Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

Check at Tools>accounts>mail, for a second tx.rr.com account, if you find
that it is duplicated, remove the one with the (2) extension.
For the Outbox problem, another poster directed you on your best course of
action.
