Recall

How come when recalling messages doesn't have a common pattern between
success and failure? There are times when the messages gets recalled
without the recipient knowing it ever was sent. At times the message will
show up, but when opening it, it says message recalled. And other times it
just flat doesn't get recalled. Why so many variables?

This is within the company's email network system, using various versions of
Outlook and MS Operating systems. Mainly Outlook 98, and Outlook XP, with
Win2000 and XP OS.

It depends on the "clients" settings in Outlook.

Some are setup to automatically process messages,
these will process the recall.

Some are not setup to automatically process, these
will come into the clients Outlook and wait for the client
to "accept or deny" the request. However, they must not
have opened the original message prior to opening the
recall request.

Ultimately, the "Recall" is very unreliable.
