Recall with other mail platforms

When I perform a recall in Outlook 2003, will it only work with other Outlook
accounts or will it also attempt to recall from other platforms such as
Groupwise or webmail?

It appears to work only with Outlook and then only if the recipient of the
original message hasn't read the original and opens the recall notice first.

Negative, message recall only works between Outlook clients.
