Cheers flops, my Noctua 6 heatpipe heatsink has arrived and have now dived over the 2.8Ghz i was after, it has knocked about 4 degrees of the CPU temp, better than my crappy zalman that has just been sold on ebay, ha.

Now strolling at 2.86Ghz, had a stable 2.94Ghz for about 6 hours before things went wrong, boo, i think about 2.9 is it for me. Can't really afford water-cooling plus i have only had this system for about 2 months anyway.

Good luck though.

Oh and my mate in my previous post achieved a crazy 3.25Ghz but now his CPU is dead and the place where he brought it has checked it and is refusing to send another as he has breached the warranty, ha.

Ahh... the pitfalls of heavy handed OCing :D
is a shame that your friend found out the hard way.

Looks like im going to get a aftermarket cooler - its already hitting 95 degrees outside

nice OC btw. :)
