RealOne Player

Included with the new Dell 4550 package I bought directly
from Dell back in April (2003) was a RealOne Player (V2)
which I used to play CDs on this machine, quite
successfully for months. Then, approximately 3 weeks ago,
after an online update from Dell, the RealOne Player
refused to open. Worst of all, in my opinion, when I
called Dell for guidance as to how to resolve this issue
(for which, pardon me, I think they are responsible) they
first informed me over and over again that this "wasn't
our problem" and then, informed me that they COULD point
me in the right direction about fixing it but that it
would cost me a fee. Apple looks better and better to me
these days, but I still have a problem with my RealOne.
Help!

Since it is the free version, you might not get much support from Real Networks.
I am assuming you have done an uninstall and reinstall. Try downloading ROP
from http://www.real.com/ Look for the "Free RealOne Player" link in the
upper-right corner.
