Real time protection running or not???

Mike

I have just installed Microsoft Antispyware Beta, and it
seems to be running fine, except I am not sure whether the
real-time protection is running when I start the computer,
as the icon is not showing in the system tray. As I feel
that real time protection is important I want to be sure
it is running, and I am wondering whether I need to put
the programme in the start-up folder. If I open the
programme manually then the icon appears in the system
tray, and the programme tells me that real-time protection
is running. I have also enabled the real-time protectiton
agents at start-up in the settings.

Can anyone tell me the file name that I should see in the
windows task manager, to check that the process is running
please?

I see two running on my system - gcasDtServ.exe & gcasServ.exe.
Not sure what each one does.

To check/adjust the status of real-time protection, in the MS
Antispyware Window:
1) Click Options> Settings. (Top left)
2) Click Real-time Protection. (Top right)
3) Adjust each item to your liking.

I have the same problem with the missing tray icon
although it appears to be running if I take a look the
Task Manager. It seems to come up when it feels like so
this lead me to think there might be some virus or the
like knocking it off but seemingly not. Would like to
know if anyone has any answers!
