Read Only Attributes

I cannot edit or email any of pictures. The software says I cannot do these
things because the folder ("My Pictures") is "read only." When I change this
and click "ok," the next time I look at the properties of this folder "read
only" is checked again. I even tried shutting down the computer to see if
the change would take effect...but no luk. Any suggestions about how I can
change this attribute?

Thanks,

Tony

The read-only attribute for a folder is typically ignored by Windows. Every
single folder on my systems have the read-only attribute set.

Posting error messages verbatim is often helpful.
