Reactivation window locks up

I removed a hard drive from my computer and upon booting
it up, windows advised that because of hardware changes I
needed to reactivate windows within 3 days. When I tried
to activate, I get the reactivation blue screen, but
nothing else. It's the blue screen minus any buttons or
text. Now, I can't do anything without reactivating (I'm
past my 3 day limit). Does anyone know if this sounds
systematic of corrupt or missing system files? Is there
any way to work around the activation to check (I have
not attempted to boot from a system disk).

Thanks
