Re: Upgrading Averatec 5110H to Win XP Pro

Trying to install Win XP Pro over the XP Home that came
with my Averatec 5110H (centrino notebook). With 34
minutes left, I get a files needed dialog
requesting "iAlmColn.dll" (with default
directory "c:\windows\drivers\intel\graphics" in the copy
filres from droplist. I have looked on the hd, win XP
cd's, the recovery cd's that came wiht the system, intel's
website, ms website - no luck. Does anyone know where to
get this DLL, or how to get through setup w/o it (dialog
choices are OK, Cancel, and Browse.When I chose Cancel,
Setup sat in what seems like an infinite loop (left it for
30 min) at 34 minutes to go. I restarted computer and am
back at the dialog requesting this file.

I did the very same thing yesterday and had the exact same problem,
other than after a lot of searching and even downloading the drivers
from Averatec's website and it still not finding that file, I just
clicked cancel and my install did finish. After the installation was
complete I reinstalled/updated to the graphic drivers I had downloaded
to make sure all was ok.

I think the problem is the file name is actually iAlmCoin.dll and
there is an typo in the script that's called.
