Re-sizing photos

Guest

I have some photos in my pictures that I want to move to a word document. How
can I re-size these photos. I've looked everywhere and I can't find anything
on the tool bar or any options. I didn't think this would be that hard.
I'd apprecaite any assistance.
Thanks!!!

Not for Vista...

I guess you're running WinXP or you wouldn't
be here...right?

OK, go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/2meyw

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures from the menu. You
can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.
(Tip: *Never* overwrite your originals)

To insure that images in both portrait and
landscape orientation are resized to the
same dimensions...go to...Advanced...
and enter the largest number in both fields.
IOW...for 600x800...enter 800 in both fields.

Open Word and start your work or simply open a Word document you want to
insert a picture in.
When you are ready to insert your photo at the place where you want it,
simply click on Insert on the top bar of Word and click on Picture on the
opening list. Browse to where the picture is located and double click on it
to insert it in Word.
Once inserted in Word, use your mouse pointer and click on a corner of the
picture and move inward or outward to reduce or enlarge the size of the
picture.

You are correct but it's not unusual for a VIsta
user to post in this XP group and if they fail to
mention their OS...we have no way of knowing.

I didn't want to waste a Vista user's time with
an XP only download.

I send it to Abby 9.0 It creates a vector image which I send back to Word
Perfect. It opens as a graphic with sixing handles.
