re-installation

Hey does anyone know why when I'm re-installing XP that my
ID number isn't working. It says that the number is
incorrect. I have the right Product Key, but it's
rejecting it. Has anyone had trouble re-installing before?

Thats odd,you might have success by contacting microsoft,activation division
888 571 2048 24hrs.
