Re-install problem on copying

Hi!

I have been facing problem to get the WinXPPro re-install done.

The re-install process will always stuck on the 2nd copy phase, after the
first re-boot on about 28 min. time left, with error message unable to copy
some file just needed in order, and every time on a different file xxxxxx.dl_
or .ex_ or some else. And, if just ignored the same thing will happen with
the next one ...

All this happening despite which original recovery-CD used, I have tried
with 3 different ones, on either of the 2 CD-drives and even if copied to the
hard disk and tried to get them opened/copied from there ...

Is there some explanation, or rather a cure to this?

Hi!

Still facing the re-install copying problem, and now exactly the same
already on a third different site/brand WinXPPro machine, with different two
CD/DVD drives and an original MS install-CD ...

What could be the reason behind all this?

Could it be the aging of the original factory burned CD's, on all these
cases they have been about 3 or at max. 4 years old ... If true, I think
it's a very scaring vision for all the billions of CD's e.g. in archive usage
allover the world ...
