Re activation

I am trying to reactivate my windows after a complete
system restore. My original product key will not work. I
have contacted microsoft and given a new key. still no
luck. any suggestions?

Are you using the correct CD and not a borrowed CD.
There are many different types of CDs and they are not
interchangeable.

Perhaps your copy of XP does not need to be activated? Most
pre-installed copies of XP on popular machines like Dell, HP, Compaq,
do not need to be activated as they are BIOS locked.
