raw and EMF printing

I have 2 Win2k pro workstations connected to a novell
server.
I am having trouble getting the work stations to print
in the EMF mode, on an HP network printer, the default to
the raw mode. If I allow the print to create a raw file
it explodes to roughly 10meg, where as when I use the EMF
mode the file size is roughly 2meg. I have tried to
change the print protocol under the printer
properties/advanced/print processor, but when I try to
save the setting it get and error message, "unable to
save settings".

When I had Win98se workstations I had no problems getting
the OS to use the EMF protocol for printing.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Thats because spooling a raw file requires a windows operating system at
both ends of the connection, Novell wouldn't know what to do with an EMF
file.

thanks for your response but
if this is true then how come it works on my Win98se
workstation.
I'll have to keep lookin for an answer.
I appreciate your help

Spooling EMF is slightly different on Win95/98/Me, the spooled EMF file is
rasterised when it leaves the spooler on the workstation, with Windows
NT/2000/XP it gets rasterised on the server.
