Random IE processes

My computer is freezing up (CPU usage 100%) and when I open up Task Manager I
notice that multiple iexplorer.exe processes keep appearing even when no
applications are running. I can go in and end these processes which
temporarily frees up the CPU but over time the problem keeps occurring.
Appreciate any help one could provide.

Behavior of these kind are often caused by parasites (in the form of a BHO,
or browser extension). These MVP sites below advice you how to eliminate the
parasites completely from your system.
