iexplorer.exe possible virus

My task manager always get filled up with multiple process
of iexplorer.exe even though ie browser hasn't been
initiated. This tend to block my DSL pipe and I always
reboot. I must be running a virus on my machine. Please
help for this uses all my virtual memory and keeps the cpu
busy to 100% usage.
