RAMASST program

Running XP Home on a Toshiba laptop.

When the machine boots up, it stops with a window that asks me to disable or
not the DVD and/or CD burning software. The file window says it is from
RAMASST.exe. Since I normally use CD nad not DVD, I always say "no". It
looks like if I delete it or shut this program down, the wrong CD driver will
be loaded. Is there anyway to set this up so it takes teh "no" route unless
I run the program and select "yes"?

I think this is a DVD RAM driver. It needs to have Windows XP's inbuilt
burner software disabled in order for the DVD RAM driver to load and work
properly.

You can say 'yes' to this without it impacting your ability to read CDs,
burn CDs with software other than the Windows XP built in burner, or burn
DVDs with the DVD burning software of your choice.

If you have no intention of writing DVD RAM disks ever in your life, you
might be better off uninstalling the driver totally, to be honest.

I'm always surprised at "professionals" who STILL have to be asked "Have you
checked (event viewer / syslog)".
