quick launch icons

This morning my quick launch toolbar moved from the bottom of the
screen to the side. In the lengthy, difficult process of trying to
get it back down where it belongs, the half dozen icons that were on
it disappeared. Right now I have checked "lock toolbar" for fear it
will move again. Is there any way to get the icons back? Also, the
toolbar is in two line spaces, instead of one. The only thing showing
is Start, with a line space beneath it, and my two open applications:
"Agent - [quick launch...] and Google - Mozilla Firefox.

1. Right-click on an empty area of your Taskbar and uncheck Lock the Taskbar
option.
2. Right-click again on the Taskbar, point to Toolbar and uncheck every
Toolbar listed.
3. Now, move your mouse pointer in the middle and empty area of the taskbar.
Hold Down the left click and immediately move the taskbar to the bottom side
of your screen.
4. If the Taskbar settled then right-click on empty area of Taskbar again
and recheck the Toolbar you needed one by one and in last "Lock the Taskbar"
again.

Hope this help, let us know!

I did finally succeed in getting the toolbar back to the bottom. My
problem is that the 6 or 8 quick launch icons that used to be there
are now gone.

I want to know if they are retrievable (?) or if I have to go through
the process all over again. If I do, then, for example, I don't
remember how I got these on the quick launch bar:

1. Show Desktop
2. Windows Explorer

Right click the Start Button and select Properties, on the Taskbar and Start
Menu properties click on Taskbar Tab.
Then under the Taskbar appearance check this box:
[ ] Show Quick Launch

Or you can drag your App to that area.
HTH.

I have now retrieved my icons by using Properties. I still have what
looks like two line spaces on that toolbar across the bottom of my
screen, and I don't know if it was always like that and I've
forgotten--it looks different.
On the top level is Start/7 quicklaunch icons/long space/top level
system tray/time

On the bottom level is Agent / Mozilla (IOW, open programs) / long
space/bottom level of system tray.

I thought these things were all on one line space before.

You mean that your Taskbar is doubled line. If that is so:

1. Right-click on the Taskabr and uncheck "Lock the Taskbar".
2. Move your mouse pointer to the top edge of Taskbar and reduce the size to
the bottom.

If that doesn't solve the problem or you are unable to reduce the size.

See the two handlers side by your Quick Launch toolbar. If one handler is in
the second line of your Taskbar then hold the Handler and try moving it along
with top quick launch icons. Lock the Taskbar again.

Hope this help, let us know!
