Question about Service Packs

Does Service Pack4 include Service Packs 1,2 and 3 or do you have to have all
in case a clean re-install is to be done?
Thank you!

Service Pack 4 is all inclusive of previous service packs. See this article for
details:

List of bugs that are fixed in Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;327194&Product=win2000

You should also consider this update:

Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4 and known issues

If you have a CD writer, you can easily create a new installation CD containing
SP4 using this freeware utility:

Autostreamer

Thanks, David!
Will follow up on your suggestions.
I've tried, but am still having problems downloading Autostreamer. Can't say
if I would need it, however.
I do appreciate your reply to my question. Thank you, again!

You're welcome!

If you're still having problems with the Softpedia link, try this one (it has
two download links on the page):

Just as a follow-up, it's highly recommended to have an installation CD that is
same version (SP) level as the installed OS. You'll need this when doing any
repair routine that requires the CD. If it's not updated, you'll get a failure
message due to the version conflict. The alternative would be to uninstall the
currently installed SP...which could get messy.

Thanks, again, David!
I was able to download Autostreamer from the suggested site.
Now that it is in my hands, I wonder if I would be smart enough to learn how
to use it properly.
Thank you!

It's relatively easy to use since it's setup in a wizard form. You can review a
tutorial covering slipstreaming SP2 into Windows XP by clicking on the Guide
link contained in the same web page that you downloaded the file from. The
general procedure shown would be applicable for slipstreaming Windows 2000 also.

Here's a link to another similar tutorial:
http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/slipstream.htm

Keep in mind that AutoStreamer simply integrates the service pack updates and
creates an ISO file that's an image of the new installation CD. One must still
burn the ISO image to a blank CDR disc in order to complete the process. This
final step can be performed by most 3rd party CD/DVD writing software.

Also note that this ISO file can be mounted in a virtual drive. This is a handy
way to access the CD content as needed. If you are using Nero, it has a virtual
drive option that can mount two ISO images.
