[Q] Outllook 2003 / Search Folders / IMAP

D

Donovan J. Edye

G'Day,

- I am running Outlook 2003
- All my mail is stored remotely on an IMAP server. ie There is nothing
stored locally in my pst files
- I want to set up a search folder for "Unread Mail" but Outlook does
not appear to support this unless the search is done on local PST
files. So how do I set up a search folder that accesses the IMAP server
and retrieves unread messages? Is this possible?

Any help greatly appreciated.

it's not possible because it needs the full message body to search and imap
is often configured for headers only.

Thanks for getting back to me.

- Why would it need the entire message body to see if I had read a
message?
- What if I could configure my IPAM server to send me the entire
message. Would that make any difference?
