search folders in IMAP

Hi

I'm using IMAP to get my mail. When I flag any message in my 'Personal Folders', it appears immediately in the 'For Follow Up' folder. When I flag any message in my IMAP folders, nothing happens. It seems that the search folder doesn't search in the imap folders

Also, when I try to create *new* search folder, I can't select "search mail in: imap folders" ... I can only select personal folders.

What's wrong

imap folders are not supported by search folders. Search folders only work
in the message store they are in - they can't search across other folders.

So can I create a search folder in my IMAP message store

Or does this simply mean I can't use the search folders

you can';t create one in an imap folder and you can't use a search folder to
look for imap messages.
