PSC 2410 Photosmart

I can't install my printer, I get the error message that I have to be the
admin inorder to install. I am the admin, I am the only user of this
computer. I purchased a new printer thinking that it was my old printer, same
error message. Can anyone give me any help it would greatly appreciated.

Did you follow the instructions at the HP website?

If/When you get it installed using the instructions Cari points you to,
note the following there:

Scanning with Windows Fax and Scanning
NOTE: This feature works only with Windows Vista Ultimate, Windows
Vista Business, and Windows Vista Enterprise.

Was the old printer the same model?

That might do it.
