Protection of a presentation

Can i protect a presentation so that when i mail it to someone they will not
be able to save or edit the document? They must only be able to view the
presentation from within the e-mail.

Depends on your version of PowerPoint. If you send it, they can save it

I wonder if Impatica would work for you. (I haven't used it myself.)

Would converting it to an SWF file be OK? They could save it, but couldn't
edit it in any way, at least not without some sort of hack and the Flash
authoring program. There are lots of programs that convert PowerPoint to SWF.
