No you don't, one should suspect that every software has spyware...
Well, i agree. "suspect" is ok, but one could check before making
"spyware"(or similar) blaims. When i readed the first answers to
my original post, i got the feeling that people didnt even
check the WEBSITE (no viruses for sure) before writing...
I DID work hard for that program.. and i'm sure we dont get
any money from it ever. I dont worry about that.. but i think
least people could do is give it a change. I was serious
when i said its a good program. i know it is (i wrote it myself)
Yeah! Non-fiction. Their are new Viruses/Worms/Spyware alerts
everyday...
You know what i ment. of course viruses/etc. are "real" (non-fiction).
but people
do take them too seriously. The "overSafeInstructions" are for people
who dont
know much about computers. When you have the basic things on; firewall,
up-to-date
virus-scanner and updated OS, you are quite safe... And IF some virus
really hits, it doesnt normally do that much damage and its very easy
to remove
(i know, i have done it to several computers of people i know).
"spyware"
is different thing, but if i'm writing software, i want it to be
legal..
you cant collect REALLY personal information from people without their
permission... "adware" is different thing, and i dont think adware is
bad.
My software DOES THIS:
It searches through predefined (and categorised) TGP-galleries,
(like thumbzilla.com etc.). It DOES get the list from our
server when "on/off" is pressed. It ALSO sends the hostname
and continously raising "tickCount" for calculating the running
clients..
The messages are pure http 1, you can check that out. Nothing
else is not sent anywhere!
(but of course the HTTP-gets to get the content)..

I dont know your "watch out"-code. Like you said yourself, i'm new in
this forum
(like in any other NNTP forum)... I dont ask anyone to "blindly trust"
me..
Its just frustating when people crush your work without real reason.
