This is a project I though was nearly complete, but ive now decided to add watercooling so theres still a lot more work to be done.

Started of with an Antec PlusView 1000 AMG

Still waiting on the VGA waterblock, arghhhh.

Also decided to move the LCD to the front.

Your right it is pretty heavy, as I found out taking it to a recent LAN.

As for the watercooling : well when the PC is running esp when overclocked, certain components create heat, and if the heat isn't dissipated the system will become unstable and crash,
The most important part to cool is the CPU/Processor, most people use a hearsink (usually aluminum or copper, or mix of both) that has a fan attached, but this alone sometimes ain't enough as the heat builds up inside the case, to fix that a lot of folks add case fans to the front and rear of the case, front to bring in cool air and the rear to exhaust hot air.
The only problem with lots of fans is noise.
Thats where watercooling comes in, by replacing the heatsink with a waterblock and fans with a big radiator and single fan(some use more).
The pump, pumps water through the pipes to the radiator which is cooled by a 120mm fans running at a slow speed(no noise), the water then flows through the waterblocks taking heat away from the processor etc, it is then passed through a reservoir where the heat dissipates a little more then finally back through the pump to the radiator and so on.

Watercooling is great for overclocking as it will give you lower temps and it looks cool.
