Programmes not responding

Can anyone help me please.
I have been getting this error happening on various
programmes for about four days now. It does not always
happen on the same programmes but it is becomming more
frequent.
I had a virus a couple of weeks ago that was detected by
Nortons and which I deleted following the the guides
supplied by Nortons. Is it possible that my problem now
is a result of the virus or is there anything else that I
should be looking for.
