Program rendered useless

About a month ago I installed a game (Knights of Honor), a week later the
game just stopped working. I tried everything (reinstalling, restarting etc.)
but it still wouldn't work, I posted on the help forums of the game's website
and after discussion it turns out the problem was most likely caused by a
windows update, I would like to know if it's possible to revert back to a
previous update without formatting or restoring or anything like that.

First did you try System Restore?

Updates usually include an uninstall option located in the Windows folder -
update number ID required or may be removed via Control Panel if listed
there.

I think I found what you mean but unfortunetly I can't figure out which one
was the most recent update in the windows folder, if someone can help me with
this that'd be great. (the ones for example, with the name
$NtUninstallKB918899$ are the update uninstaller folders?)
