Profile error with Outlook 2007 Beta 2

Fun fun, downloaded Office Pro 2007 B2 this afternoon, and I'm trying to get
Outlook up and running to our Exchange 2003 SP2 mail server. I blew away the
existing Outlook profile and deleted all associated OST files. Started up
Outlook, it detected my email settings nicely, and configured the Exchange
settings. However, I can't get into Outlook itself because it pops up the
Exchange server "Check Name" box, and if I click OK, it gives me the error
"Changes cannot be made while mail is running. Logoff and try again." No
matter what I click, I can't clear this error. Anyone have thoughts so far?

Never mind, had the Windows Desktop Search plugin crashing Outlook 2007.
Also had my Blackberry software still holding the Outlook Profile open. The
little things you forget during a reboot... ;)

Even if you hadn't discovered the problem, this is the wrong newsgroup. Ask
questions about beta software in the beta newsgroups.

I believe this is now the right newsgroup. Beta 2 was released to the
public today. However, the beta newsgroups are and will remain private
(meaning only accessible to members of the technical beta). Therefore
everyone else is going to ask in the public newsgroups about Beta 2
issues.

Indeed since 5½ hours ago this place can also be used for Outlook 2007 Beta
2.
Official testers still should use the private groups as much as possible.

....as long as they do not expect replies. Since none of us has or can get
this build these queries will remain unanswered for a while.

Make that 2. Actually running it in full in production on both my main
machine and tablet!
