Producer A/V capture error

When capturing audio/video within Powerpoint Producer, I get the error
"An error occurred while getting information for the device."

This error does not happen when I use a Logitech QuickCam webcam as the
source for BOTH audio and video. However, when either source is using
my Viewcast Osprey 210 capture card, the error pops when I start a
capture and every time I change slides. When finished, it appears that
the audio and video were recorded, but the constant errors that have to
be cleared are obviously a problem (including the critical stop sound
that gets picked up by the mic).

Any thoughts or ideas? I've already uninstalled the older Viewcast
Osprey drivers and installed all the latest ones. Why does Producer
like the Logitech but not the Osprey? I can capture AV through the
Osprey just fine outside of Producer.

From what you indicate the device or the device software driver is the
problem. My first strategy would to do what you have already done --
replace the drivers with the latest available. You might also be able to
tweak it by moving hardware acceleration sliders back or off.

I can't say why your device appears to work outside of Producer -- but
there are so many factors in how the device could be used that there is not
much you can infer from this fact.

Is it possible you could capture outside of Producer and just import the
audio/video afterwards.
