Problems with New Build

I have recently completed my first homebuilt computer. It went fairly well.
Reading a lot of really bad instructions slowed me down but I completed it
during the course of a long day. It's the fastest thing I've ever operated
for sure. The following components were used:

Lian Li mid tower case (no plastic)
CPU- AMD 64 3200+
Mem- 1gig Mushkin 3200 DDR 400
Power- Vantec 520
Storage-2 160g Seagate Sata set up as RAID 0
Video- Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128M
DVD/CD- Pioneer DVR-107
Mainboard- Gigabyte- GA-K8NNXP
Audio-Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
OS-Windows XP Home

Now for the problem. Assembly went fairly well. Bad directions about how
to set up the hard drives in a RAID configuration slowed me down but it's
finished. After completion, while doing a little cable organizing, I
noticed that the connector had falled off the case speaker. I plugged it to
the mainboard in the correct spot and closed up the computer. When I turned
it on, as soon as the bios appeared, I received a steady tone from the
internal speaker that does not stop. I get one little chirp from the bios
(indicating it's ok) and that's it. The computer continues to boot
successfully. I have not been able to find anything wrong. Everything on
the computer works. I have been using it for three days and it works
great(I obviously had to pull the plug back off the speaker). I went to the
Gigabyte website and downloaded all the latest drivers including the latest
bios (F12).

Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing the speaker to be
giving off this constant tone? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

double check the pinouts on the mainboard compared to the connector.

.... and be cautious of typos in the instructions. I've never seen it
happen on motherboard manuals, but my case manual botched the firewire
and usb pinouts.
