New Build -Failure - Diagnosis?

I completed a new build a few weeks ago. Been installing software and
configuring it (taking my sweet time). It's been up and running I'd say 20
to 30 hours in total. Today I was getting ready to install a modem (not
inside the box yet - just reading info off the Installation CD) and the
system shut off suddenly. There was a noticeable "click". No burnt smell. No
green light on the mainboard, nothing running. Shut off the PS with rear
switch, waited a few minutes, turned it back on, and the green light on the
MB lit for a couple seconds then went dark. Never to come on again.
Seems that the Antec SmartPower 450 just died. That's my best guess. I
disconnected all the power leads and jumped the green/black leads on the
mainboard connector with an old HD plugged in (and the case lights) and got
nothing.
What do you think? Pretty obvious? Or should I test anything else before
calling Antec RMA?
Also: do these power supplies have breakers or fuses?

It appears that you've basically covered the bases in testing the Antec with
a load. Is there anything other than not having a second PS to keep you from
trying your current build to see if it'll start? Most of the time electrical
devices are going to go within the first 60 days if there's a problem with
them. Some PS's have fuses, but you may invalidate the warranty if you open
the box. I'm for calling them

I just had a PS go bad, got the smell and shut down the system.
Took the PS out and open it up, found a melted capacitor.
Put a new PS in, it's up and running.

You can buy a little psupply testor from Antec. Go to their
website. Might be quicker in the long run, and can't hurt.
