Problems with installing Outlook 2003 with Office 2000

Hi all,

I am currently running Office 2000 in my desktop pc in my office, and i was
trying to upgrade to Outlook 2003 as my email client, but as it was setup was
extracting the files, it prompted me with a message with the header Office
2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) "The expected version of the product was not found
on your system" and it just terminates the installation process.

Currently my company is still using MS Office 2000 as the default Office
client but has migrated to Outlook 2003 as the default email client.

Will someone please enlighten me on this, i'm running out of ideas.

Thanks in advance!!

Go to maintaince mode and then make sure that outlook 2000 is not available.
Try installin Outlook 2003 after that.
Start>control panle>add/remove programs select office 2003 and then go to
maintaince mode
