I have read about people having problems with IE 7 after installing
the recent updates, opening the browser and getting the "cannot open
web page" message. I, too, am having the same problem. Although I know
I have an internet connection since my ITUNES can access the web and I
can make purchases and Google sidebar on my desktop accesses the web
for current weather and news...it's working fine. I did a system
restore prior to the updates twice and that worked, but then my
computer automatically reinstalled the updates and restarted, undoing
my restore, therefore causing the problem all over again. Does anyone
know if Microsoft has a solution to this? Has anyone come up with
their own solution??
