Bobby,

Can you get Internet service on each computer? If you can start from there,
then you don't have to worry about connectivity issues.

If you have any Internet access problems with any computers, then start from the
beginning.

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, but there are other possibilities too.

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely:

Be patient and persistent, Bobby. File sharing under Windows is a lot of fun,
and there are a lot of things that can stop it from working.

ty so much chuck i spent a few hours and finally got it up n running i just
started 1 by 1 narrowing it down and finally figured it out my wifes
laptop came with a 6 month free pc cillin internet security even tho ive
never used or heard of it for that matter i decided to use the 6 months up
before i go to mcafee. mcafee is user friendly but cillin is not it took me
forever to try to configure it for network and ive foundly done it under
the firewall it gives u 4 choices of profiles. , direct connection, home
network, office network, wireless network. well thinkin since it was a home
network i figured thats what should be set as , boy i was wrong so i tried
wireless network since the laptop is wireless, umm nope wrong, so tried
direct connection even tho i pretty much new it wasnt it . and sure enough
the last choice i did was office network and guess what it works jeez
cillin is an internet security that is not for us computer dummies. not user
friendly at all but i got it and imnvery pleased with it i love the idea of
networking . once this cillin security time is up im done with it lol
gonna get mcaffee.

again ty so much for ur time chuck n i hope u have great day
