Problems with emailing photos

I am having a problem with emailing photos to another associate. Seems that when I go to email the photos I get a message that states, "Out of Memory or systems resources. Close some windows or programs & try again". I don't have any other windows or programs opened when I email these photos. Is there a way to compress these photos, and still be able to email them. I have emailed quite a few photos over the last 4-6 months. I am operating on Windows XP Professional and I am using Microsoft Exlporer for my email. The photos are in JPEG. These photos are very important to this project, and I need to find out what I have screwed up and get right. Will I need to get rid of the other emails or is there something else I can do
Thanks in advanc

Maybe it would help to run Disk Cleanup
(all options)...Start / All Programs /
Accessories / System Tools / DiskCleanup...

Also you may find the free PowerToy
Image Resizer to be useful.

Go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures from the menu. You
can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.
(Tip: *Never* overwrite your originals)

BTW...when resizing if you go to...Advanced
Button / Custom...and enter 640 in each field...
that will be a good size for e-mail purposes.
