Problems with chart

Hi - I'm hoping someone out there may be able to tell me what's gone
wrong with my PowerPoint 2002! I can't re-open graphs I've drawn in
chart once I leave the slide. I get a message which says "server
application, source file or item cannot be found." I can draw the
graphs well enough, but just can't get back into them. Help! I've not
seen this message before today, and I've never had a problem editing
graphs etc before.

I've tried detect and repair, and rebooting but I'm out of ideas. All
my Office updates are up to date.

Can anyone help, please?
