Problems with Canon i350

Hi,

I was hoping you could help me with a problem I've been having with a Canon
i350 I bought from
a friend.
When I print a page of text, or more precisely a page with lots of
paragraphs - the top half of the first
line of text isn't there, i.e. the bottom half of the letters will appear
but the top half doesn't. The rest of the
text in the paragraph is fine, but as soon as a new paragraph is started it
happens again.
I've run the cleaning and alignment facility a few times which has improved
the situation a bit, but
really the problem is still there.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Alex.

Hi again,

Just to add a little more detail, now that I've printed some stuff
out...I've noticed that there are vertical lines
missing as well - approximately 15 across the width of the printed area -
quite thin, only about 3mm across
in each case. :)

Thanks,

Alex.

This is an unusual failure but I suspect that the problem is printhead related
because you say that a head clean improves the situation slightly. I suggest
you ask the folks at http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/index.php after reviewing
old posts there, maybe the head will recover with a little tender loving care.

Tony,

Thanks for the advice, I'll start inquiring.
