Problems viewing images on certain web pages

Can't view .gif extentions on sites such as Amazon.com If I try to click
on one of the .gif toolbar images to go to one of the pages, I lose my
internet connection all together and it says page cannot be displayed. I
have my internet security to low so I know that security isn't the
problem. I swear this happened after I updated from Microsoft's Website
but I can't be 100% positive. I can use netscape, Mozilla or any other
web viewer and Amazon.com shows up with no problem.

Hi,

Make sure that the following options are enabled when you view the websites:

1.Open Internet Explorer.
2.Click the Tools options.
3.Click Internet Options.
4.Click the Advanced Tab.
5.Scroll down the list and under multimedia title enable all the options.
6.Click ok and access the website again.

Hope this helps.

Thank you... Actually I found the problem which I don't fully
understand. we have a SMC Barricade Firewall at work. As soon as I shut
down the firewall, I have no problems at all. Funny that nobody else was
having the same trouble as me and we were all on the same firewall. At
any rate, i am now working. Thanks for your help
