Problems connecting to hotmail with outlook 2003

I am trying to setup Outlook 2003 to connect to my
hotmail account. after I setup the account, i get the
following errror:

Task 'Hotmail - Personal: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing
headers.' reported error (0x800CCC31) : 'The server did
not understand the request.The server
responded 'Unrecognized METHOD'. '

My primary account is setup to an exchange server
(Exchange 2000). I get the same error when I am trying
to connect to my yahoo account also. Any help would be
appreciated.

I suspect that your company has a proxy server between you and the Internet
that doesn't understand the HTTP/DAV protocol that Outlook uses to
communicate with Hotmail. Ask you network administrator to upgrade to a
proxy server that does. You won't be able to connect to Yahoo with an HTTP
account at all - they do not support the proper protocol.
