Problems capturing video from Analog cam\DVD ANYTHING

Hi
I Have a ATI Radeon 9800PRO AIW card. Came with all i need
The problem is, that when i try to record video the preview screen blurrs, flickers (is not correct)(colors are wrong and the screen bumps
at first i had no problems, but when i started the pc the next day i couldn't record video. Not with Pinnacle Studio 8 or MM2
I wonder if you can help me find out what is wrong
Capture drivers, Device. (Cables are ok)

What do you mean by screen bumps...have you been throwing it on the floor?

I know this sounds silly, but exactly what do you mean by "I couldn't
record video" What happens in Movie Maker that stops you?

As a first thought on solutions, It sounds as though you may have a driver
problem for your screen or graphics card. I would first suggest getting
both brought up to date. In addition you might want to download the FULL
versions of DirectX 9.0b and Media Player 9. You should reboot before
installing DirectX and reboot again before installing Media Player. (To
release file locks)

It would be best if you do the graphics update first. (Get the driver from
the manufacturer NOT Microsoft. Microsoft only supply generic drivers for a
class of card. My card manufactured by Gainward does not perform well if I
update it from Microsoft, this because Gainward employ their own tweeks
that make the card very fast...but only if you use their drivers)

If after all of this you still have a problem then please repost and answer
my questions above.

I have tried that now but it didn't fix the problem. When i start up Mm2 or Pinnacle Studio 8 and try to record i ONLY get AUDIO. Black screen on the preview. ( It is not av firewire or DV cam!)

I think what you need is one of my 10lb lump hammers, OR, someone who
knows about ATI Radeon 9800PRO AIW card's Your problems seems beyond any
help I can offer you. Sorry about that.

You may be capturing to an MPEG2 format, something that MM2 won't work with.
