problems after fix

Did a scan and deleted all entries found but now things like defragment and
file search don't work. It says the program does not exist or I don't have
provileges. I have cerified that the defragment program is there in the
system32 folder but it won't run.

Any ideas on how to reset all the defaults for searching and programs etc.

Log in as administrator.

Put CD (Windows Installation)in the drive
Go to START
and RUN
and type SFC /SCANNOW
Press Enter.
