Problem with Wireless Radio

To turn on the hardware switch for my laptop's wireless radio, I'm supposed to hit Fn+F2. I do that, but the light does not come on, and the radio is not enabled. The hardware switch must be turned on for the wireless to work, but I cannot turn it on.

It is installed, but how to I check whether it's enabled in the BIOS?

press either F1, F2, F12 or DEL on boot up. it varies between manufacturers. It usually says on the top right on the display on boot up press ??? to enter BIOS. Then look for the option to enable/disable once you get in.

Could it be disabled if I have never been into the BIOS?
