Problem with the performance indes

P

Plastic Spectre

When I first installed Vista, it had an performance index of 3.9.
About a week ago, I ran the index checker after getting the new ATI
drivers installed. The Index went to 1.0! Everthing that is non
windows runs better (games and the video stuff) but the scores are 1.0
on the two graphic parts.

Anyway, I removed the new drivers, used the default windows driver and
still got 1. Reinstalled the older drivers and still got 1.

Any ideas? I kinda liked the aero stuff, but it won't work with that
low a score. Worked fine before tho, ie no lag, slowdowns, ect.

Sysem is:
AMD3000+ Athlon on MSI MB
1Gb ram
ATI 1600 512Mb ram AGP (set to 8x, I checked)
160GB HD with 75GB free

Removing drivers to essentially downgrade is not always as straightforward
as it should be.. take a look at this page on removing ATI drivers and
Catalyst versions..

I cant see the list of scores for different components. Any idea how to show
them? I just get a blank screen in performance.
