Problem with Sp 2

I have a Duron 1200 with a 120G Sata Hd, 512 Ram, Xp pro, and the usual
stuff. The computer worked fine until I installed sp2. Now, it boots,
windows loads and goes to the log in screen then, within 3 seconds of the log
in screen appearing, I get the blue screen of death (BSOD), it dumps the
physical memory and reboots. It will continue this cycle forever if I let it.
I can't get it to go to safe mode before the BSOD. Any suggestioons??

I did install sp 2 on an other computer with no problems.
