problem with soundmax on vista rtm

hi

working with vista rtm x64, Board: Intel 945GNT which came with soundmax
audio device.

Vista recognize it as "high definition audio device". Playback works ok but
I can't use it for recording.
(Right click on the speaker icon near the clock, then choose "recording
device" and then I been told
"no audio deviec are installed")

I tried to download new drivers from Intel web-site (there aren't drivers
for vista, so I downloaded drivers for xp x64).
Now The recording feature works ok but the playback doesn't sound well.

Any ideas ?

Wait for the hardware manufacturer to release Vista 64-bit drivers.
