Problem with networking

Have some win9x and windows 2000 pro that connects to a CNC machine
that uses Netbeui protocal


The win9x sees the CNC machine no problem. Having problems seeing the
CNC machine with the windows 2000 pro machine. I install the TCP/IP,
Netbeui , IPX/SPX and File and print sharing for microsoft. Also
added the CNC machine name in the hosts file on the win 2000 pro.
Still no luck .
Was working before on the windows 2000 pro machine


Anyone have any sugguestions?

I don't know what a CNC machine is , but if it is running netbeui then make sure the
W2K computer has nebeui enabled for the client that you are using and that it is
first in the list as shown in networking properties/advanced/advanced
roperties. --- Steve
